With the 42nd anniversary of Earth Day only hours away, we at Home and Hearth Magazine Online thought it’d be appropriate to celebrate Earth Day with organic colors for the home. Specifically how “organic” colors that are used for the home reflect the art of life . After all, what colors are more organic than the lush greens of the earth, blue seas, the sky and a golden sun.
According to Better Homes and Garden’s book entitled “Color with Confidence: Your Rooms Your Way,” organic colors like yellow-green, sage green and yellow-golds express artistic style. Green color schemes are also said to promote relaxation while blues induce calm. Vincent Farrell’s artistic use of organic colors in his decorative wall art combined with today’s featured interior design interpretation should have you stress-free and peaceful in no time. I even added a window so that you can stare out into the cerulean blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Here’s wishing you a Happy Earth Day wherever you are in the world. Why not celebrate earth day with organic colors for the home. Namaste.

Love the orange Cube Table. Such fun.
So glad you enjoyed the post. Orange is my favorite color. I had to find a spot for it. Best, Home and Hearth Magazine Online
Sadly, that orange cube is no longer available at Kohl’s or it would be on it’s way to my house! Probably a result of orange being the color of 2012 🙂
Hey Laura, I just spoke with a representative at Kohls.com (855) 564-5705. Jennifer informed me that the color orange is just currently out of stock. You are right that the color orange is the “flavor of the moment” in home furnishings which is why it is out. She did however suggest to check back from week to week since there are plans to replace the stock. It’s only sold online so at least you don’t have to compete with in store availability. Thanks for your help. Best, Home and Hearth Magazine
Wonderful colors!!
Thanks Gaby. The blues and greens are so calming.
